Keeping my cool
It was another really hot day and I was kind of glad to be working out inside (except for the fact that it was of course quite warm in the gym). I had this grand plan to wake up earlier than usual and not be rushed getting down to the bus but of course that didn't happen. Matt left the apartment at about 5:30 am for his 7:00 am flight to L.A., but I barely stirred while he was in the shower and getting ready. When my alarm went off, I snoozed until the last moment as usual.
I ellipticalled at the gym and it went by pretty quickly because I hadn't ellipticalled in about a week. I am into a new Jodi Picoult book but I mostly listened to music because I was in a good groove. My pes anserine bothered me on and off but nothing too terrible. I usually also have time to bike a little when I am at the gym in the mornings but I was in a rush today because I had a PT appointment first thing.
By the time I got done with PT, where I did more of my exercises and was deemed to be making "good progress," I felt like I had been working out for hours. It was getting really hot out by that point so I was glad to get back to my air conditioned office, where I stayed most of the afternoon. I did a little biking and a little lifting after work but it was uncomfortably hot in the gym. I don't think it was just me as I noticed that everyone else was sweating, too.
I'm headed to bed shortly although I just got home from going out to dinner with friends who are in town for a couple of nights. I have a lot to do before I am ready to leave on Wednesday but it'll have to wait until tomorrw as I am beat!
