Ho-hum
I did a little better in terms of getting to sleep at a reasonable hour last night and made the bus over to the gym with a couple of minutes to spare. I booked it down there as usual and was so glad the bus driver was blasting the air conditioning. But these two women were actually complaining about the cold temperature and the driver turned it down! Luckily it is a quick ride to Georgetown so I wasn't too uncomfortable.
I ellipticalled pretty hard and then biked a little because I wanted to get back to the book I was reading. (A great one: "The Last Summer (Of You & Me)" which just came out recently--I had noticed it on Caitlin's GoodReads.) My knee is kind of stiff and sore from (I think) working it a lot in PT and at the gym yesterday, but otherwise I felt okay. It was hot as usual and I had to break the "You must wear a shirt at all times" rule and strip down to my sports bra. I don't think anyone really cared or even noticed.
It was pretty muggy out again this week and it is supposed to be in the 90s for the rest of the week. I try to walk outside to get lunch or just stretch my legs during the day and it is just too nasty to do that. Today I got a sandwich and then found a spot in one of the med school lounges to finish my book. It was nice and cool but someone was lying on a couch next to me snoring!
I lifted tonight and everything was status quo. I just cooked a nice dinner full of things that Matt doesn't really like--such as shrimp and whole wheat pasta--since he is still in LA and I hope to continue my trend of going to bed on time!
