Heading out of here
This will be quick as I am rushing around trying to finish packing for our trip tomorrow. My flight leaves at 6:50 am and I am hoping to ride the trainer beforehand, so I don't expect to get much sleep! Matt booked such an early flight so we could make the most of the day in Portland, but he is already in L.A. so he doesn't have to go until a much more reasonable time in the morning!
This morning's run was pretty good, all things considered. It was really, really humid and hot. I didn't even check the temperature before I left because I didn't want to know. I did a slight variation on the Becky/Friday loop. My knee was off and on as usual...but it doesn't get worse, a good sign, and I felt fine when I got back. I wore a patellar strap for about three miles and then took it off since it was annoying me more than it was helping. I also took off my shirt and wrung it out a couple of times...gross! It was one of my favorite kind of days where there was just no air.
I went to the gym to lift at lunchtime and got caught in a rainstorm that thankfully improved the weather a bit. I am going to try and lift at some YMCAs while on vacation, but I am also going to try and be on vacation, as much as is possible for me!
