Freedom bikers
I managed to get up almost as early as I needed to this morning so that I could get in a decent ride on the trainer before Matt's dad's scheduled arrival. I watched "Freedom Writers" and really enjoyed it. It's a little cheesy, as all feel-good movies are, but since it was a true story I wasn't that bothered. I did some climbing intervals and ended up biking for the whole movie which was exactly two hours. My legs are kind of sore now but nothing hurt and it was a good workout.
Matt was on airport pickup duty while I showered and made coffee. We hung out in our apartment for a couple of hours, figuring out a place to put our new rug brought back from Matt's dad's recent trip to Turkey, and then we went out to lunch in our neighborhood. It was really hot out (mid-90s and forecast to be 98 both Monday and Tuesday) so we did not partake of the nice outdoor area at this cafe.
This afternoon I did some more trip planning and took a nap and then did some of my PT exercises (squats, etc.). We are headed out to dinner at a friends' house and then I hope we will have time to watch "Without Limits" because I want to get Matt excited about visiting Pre's Trail when we are in Oregon!
