Status quo

We stayed at Matt's mom's house last night, so I was lucky to have access to an elliptical this morning. It is an older model with both the resistance and ramp height adjustments, which I'd rather not have, but you make do with what you've got. It did not hurt my leg and I was dripping with sweat, which is a good workout in my book, or at least good enough for me this morning. I probably should have done a little lifting, but I was hungry and I will hopefully be able to get to the gym tomorrow so it shouldn't be a big deal. Plus, I am anxious to get back to the hospital to spend time with my dad before we have to get back to the train station and head back to D.C.

That's all for now; I wanted to make sure I had a chance to update before things got busy tonight. I have been avoiding household tasks like laundry and grocery shopping but as our train does not get in until 7:30 p.m., I think those will have to wait another day so we can watch Sopranos!

I'm happy that things are looking up for your father and your family. Thanks for the update link, a great idea.

By an odd coincidence, I came on an old article of yours on the American Red Cross Web site in the course of filing an inquiry with their Holocaust and War Victims Tracing Center--an odd coincidence since I wouldn't have known your maiden name if not for the update page. It's a good article, and much in it mirrors my own experience.
