New age group

Today is my 30th birthday, so I guess I am entering into a new era--or at least a new age group (not that I will be racing anytime soon)! It is definitely a milestone but I am not going to be fooled into thinking it means too much, especially since a friend's mother recently told me I look exactly the same as I did in college :) In any case, birthdays are always fun although we will be celebrating this weekend mostly.

I ellipticalled again this morning and my adductor/knee felt a little looser after really digging into it with the foam roller last night. I was at Washington Sports Club again and I don't think the temperature there is any better (colder) than it is at the Georgetown gym. For the money they charge per month, it certainly should be! I also biked for a bit next to the D.C. mayor's father (who owns the local Fleet Feet, so I knew him before he earned his most recent celebrity status). All in all it was a good workout.

I had the second day of that PR conference again and it went well. I am meeting a friend in VA tonight before meeting Matt for dinner so I didn't really have time to lift afterwards. Instead, I rode my trainer and watched more Tori and Dean: Inn Love. It's my birthday so I can watch stupid shows if I want to!

Happy birthday Becky!!! It's a big one too - although I agree that age is just a number that doesn't really mean much. Anyway, still praying for you and your family and your father. Glad he is doing so much better!
