Still ailing

My knee felt a teeny, tiny bit better when I woke up. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to elliptical, but except for the extra effort required to start the elliptical motion, it was okay. It was very hot in the gym as usual and I was working pretty hard, so I was pretty uncomfortable. But I was glad to get in a good workout. After the elliptical, I biked for awhile while reading my book. I did not even attempt to lift or do anything else after that (except abs) because I was disgustingly sweaty (and hungry!) and also because I don't want to put any extra stress on my knee.

As I left the gym, spectators were starting to arrive for an NCAA lacrosse playoff game between Georgetown and Princeton. I had no idea it was taking place but it would have been cool to go if I had more time or more interest in lacrosse! Actually, Matt and I have been following Cornell's season a bit because I believe they are undefeated and the favorite to win the NCAA championship. Neat!

I went up to Chevy Chase this afternoon to do some errands and browse around. It was nice out (and Mother's Day) so there were a million people walking around. I heard a lot of "Mom"s while I was in the stores and it made me wish I was home in NY with my own mom! Matt and I did make all the Mother's Day calls this morning, though.

I just tried to ride the trainer and even though it didn't bother me yesterday, I am getting a sharp pain on the inside spot of my knee that hurts. So, even though I am antsy and want to do another workout, even I can't rationalize one that painful. I guess I'll put my efforts into something else...like making dinner.
