Sore but improving
I rode my trainer at home today since it made more sense logistically. I could tell when I woke up that my adductor and hamstring were extremely sore from Barb's treatment yesterday, but the good news is I am in less pain (walking up stairs, bending down to pick up things, etc.). Riding the bike felt better than it has in days and I got all caught up in the movie "Camp" which was on some random cable channel. I'm a sucker for theater kids because I secretly wanted to be one when I was growing up but I didn't have the talent (or the chutzpah to sing in front of a lot of people). Anyway, I did a few surges while I was on the bike but I didn't want to try standing up in the saddle because of all the pressure that puts on my knees.
I lifted at lunch so I could have an extra hour or so tonight to get my hair cut. I was tempted to try a few leg things, but I restrained myself. I will not try that until at least next week. But I hope it's a good sign that I was even considering it.
I did get the hair cut tonight and I think she took a little too much off. In the summer, I like having my hair as short as possible because it is so thick and it gets heavy. But it has to be long enough to put in a ponytail (or preferably a bun) and it is very borderline right now. But unlike most people with curly hair, mine grows really fast, so I'm not too concerned. My head immediately felt lighter! I wish it were that easy to change other parts of our bodies on a whim.
