Late night for a special occasion

Today was our third wedding anniversary and we are just getting home from a long--but awesome--dinner at a restaurant both Matt and I have wanted to try for a while now. They do a lot of "little plates" before the main course, so it was a three-hour meal. Although we were both getting pretty sleepy by the time dessert rolled around, we had a great time. Now I am really tired, but here is the quick update:

I biked at home on my trainer today because it was too hard logistically to get to the gym before a doctor's appointment. It wasn't as comfortable on my knee as the upright stationary bike, but I survived. I watched a lot of "The Break-Up" with Jennifer Aniston, which was pretty good for a movie you watch while working out. And tonight, I swam for the first time in a looong while. It was tough. And kicking hurt my knee--strange if it is a bone thing, because non weight-bearing activities should not hurt, right? But I am most comfortable pulling anyway, so it was all right.

My day at work was pretty busy but I managed to make an orthepedist appointment. This guy specializes in knees and sports injuries and cartilage. Sounds good for me. The earliest next appointment was in June. At the very least, even if I'm feeling bettter, it will be good to have him look at my MRI that was taken last fall to explain it in more detail than Barb was able to.

Happy Anniversary! I'm glad you're having someone else take a look at your injuries.
