Spring is back

Even I, lover of winter, had to admit that it was nice to be able to run outside without even thinking about gloves or a long-sleeve shirt and to be able to go to work without a jacket. I did get a little hot running (when don't I?) but all in all it was a nice temperature. I did my usual Friday loop except I think I cut it short by about a quarter of a mile at the very end by turning down one street instead of another. My kneecap was a little achy (again, when isn't it?) but I'm glad to say the back of my knee did not bother me and it wasn't too sore when I got back. Owing to the warmer temperatures, I saw several runners (and a biker) on my route and I hadn't in the past few weeks.

I don't have too much to say about the rest of the day because I spent much of it transcribing a recording of an event that we had this week. Not usually in my job description, but the intern who was asked to do it didn't show up today. I went to a new waxing person at lunch and the results were among the worst waxing experiences I've had (and I've had a lot). I won't go into details, but let's just say I won't be going back there again.

Everyone around here seems excited about the fact that it is finally supposed to be a nice weekend, weatherwise. I think I'm including myself there although I do have that "race" on Sunday so hopefully it won't be too warm. Happy weekend to all!

um, yeah, i had such a weird/bad waxing experience in march with a new person that when i went back this month i specifically asked if that woman in particular was working that day. they said yes, and i don't care how rude it was, i said, okay, well then what about later this week. and i checked twice to make sure it wouldn't be her. it was just NOT GOOD...

ps. i miss running in DC!!!!!
