Long day
I feel like my blog entries have been rushed recently for one reason or another, and this one will join that club. I just got home after a work event (a panel of cancer experts explained some of their research to the public and then answered questions about it) and then dinner with a friend from work and Matt, since we were right near his office for the event. It was fun but my eyes are very tired.
I was also rushed during my run this morning, so I did about 10 minutes less than I wanted to, but at least I wasn't late to my doctor's appointment! I did my downtown loop and I think I started out too fast because I was definitely hurting the last couple of miles. Since I woke up a little late, I think the adrenaline rush caused me to expend too much energy too early. But aside from that it was uneventful and my legs both felt decent. Same old back-of-knee stiffness when I'm done, but I'm trying to stretch a lot and just do the best I can with it.
I biked and did leg lifting at lunch. The gym was nice and empty compared to the past two afternoons I've been there. I was kind of hungry so I got sloppy during the last couple of exercises, but I got in some decent squats, lunges, etc.
OK, good night!
