Good run; bad Internet
Our Internet connection at home seems to be on the fritz (I'm hoping it's Comcast and not my computer), so I'll post a quick update now and maybe be able to update later. I am glad to report that I had an enjoyable run this morning. The kneecap pain right around the injury from my fall has gotten a lot better, so now I'm back to just some standard kneecap aches and pains (yay?). Part of my run was gently downhill today, and I definitely felt it a bit there. I did an old loop of mine that involves running up to the Cathedral and then back to the Rock Creek path via Georgetown. The uphill was tiring as usual because I still feel like I don't have the proper leg lift on hills, but mostly I was feeling pretty good. The back of my knee is generally always stiff when I stand up from sitting, and a bit after the run, but I'm willing to deal with it IF it doesn't get worse.
I overdressed this morning and was pretty warm. Since we are having our spring "cold spell," the forecasters are going crazy with their "it's going to be another cold one" comments and it was also really cold in our apartment when I woke up. At least I was wearing shorts, but I took my hat off after about 10 minutes.
I'm meeting a friend for dinner tonight and Matt is in Atlanta until very late, so I'm intending to hit up the gym for a turbo lifting session and then investigate our Internet connection issue once I get home. I hope it's a quick fix!
