Foggy run
My leg was feeling better when I woke up this morning, so I decided to do a short run and then go to the gym with my dad in the afternoon (still in NY). It was super foggy out this morning, but kind of chilly. Humid and cold, a weird combination. I did one of my old high school routes around here and actually felt better than I anticipated. Most of my hometown routes are pretty hilly and this one was no exception. But I just took it really, really easy on the uphill parts and I was fine. I added on a little bit--maybe a mile--in the woodsy trails behind this convent that are a fairly recent addition. It was muddy but soft so it felt good on my old, achy knees.
I was home for a couple of hours and then did end up going with my dad to the fancy gym. I had been on the elliptical for about 25 minutes when all of a sudden I got this weird pinching in my left (better) leg. It wasn't going away so I switched to the bike. I got a decent but not really complete lift in, but I was ready to leave by that point anyway.
Now my mom and I are getting ready for Passover and my sister and her boyfriend, my grandmother, and Matt are on their way (Matt decided to drive up at the last minute). I'm looking forward to a nice evening!
