Another chilly run
I think it was actually colder this morning than it was yesterday when I left the house to go running. Brrr. I met Camille (brave in shorts) in Georgetown and we did our usual loop which goes out along a residential neighborhood (MacArthur Blvd.) and back on the Canal. I was looking forward to the Canal part today for my sore/bruised knee. It actually felt better today, at least after the first few minutes of the run, although that could have been the Advil I took before I left. Either way, it was a very enjoyable run and it wasn't really cold once the sun was fully shining.
This afternoon's excitement was a mouse sighting in the apartment. We (I) found a dead one in a trap this week, but I was taking a nap on the couch and Matt woke me up to say he had just seen one run by in the living room. I covered my head with my a fleece blanket and Matt took care of the situation (I will not go into details in case there are animal lovers who don't want to read about it.) Suffice it to say, I went out later and got a whole bunch of new traps, which Matt set around the apartment.
Matt's cousin and her boyfriend are coming over for dinner and to watch the premiere of the final season of the Sopranos. I am making a roast chicken for the first time. It is currently in the oven and I am very nervous about how it will turn out!
