A 'good' Friday (so far)
Matt had work today, so of course I woke up a little when he got up to go in the shower this morning, but I knew I could go back to sleep for as long as I wanted. I woke up around 8:45 although I felt like I definitely could have lounged around for longer. But I like to run/work out first, then lounge.
Washingtonpost.com said the real feel was 23 or something, and I could hear the wind blowing. I put on a hat and gloves and actually ended up keeping the hat on for most of the run. It definitely doesn't feel like April, but it didn't feel like December this year either, so I'm getting used to it. It actually wasn't as windy as I anticipated, so that was good. I did my usual Friday route and today the most bothersome thing was the very top of my kneecap, exactly where my biggest cut from Tuesday's fall is. I'm pretty sure it's a bruise and will go away, but why does it have to be on my knee, where all my other problems are? I am also feeling pinching on both legs behind my knee on the very outside of my leg, where the knee bends. That's today's injury report.
I stayed home most of today, cleaning and relaxing, and then went to get my nails done and go grocery shopping. I am meeting Matt downtown in a little bit for drinks/dinner with a couple we know from business school. They are in town for the weekend, along with many other tourists who are probably freezing their butts off walking around looking for cherry blossoms that have disappeared!
Happy weekend to all!
