Sucking wind on the run...but the Hoyas won!
I guess I should have gone to a big basketball school instead of a big hockey school, because I am just having so much fun following Georgetown through the tournament! I am still on a high after watching the Hoyas come back in the last minute to tie the game and then dominate in OT to reach the Final Four! I think their next matchup against Ohio State will be really, really tough, but I'll be watching and hoping they pull through.
I rode my trainer during the first half of the game and I was getting more into it because I felt like I had a sweat connection with the athletes :) Although they felt fine on the bike, both of my legs bothered me during my run this morning--I felt a little bit of that side leg pain in my left leg and the back of my right knee tightened up (for the first time in months) toward the very, very end of the run. I think Camille was pushing the pace a bit in the last mile and I should have listened to my body and backed off. I am hoping this is just a temporary setback and although I don't really want to, I will go to the gym and cross train tomorrow instead of running. Hopefully it will help.
Another thing I noticed on the run is that I am still having trouble with hills. I can make it up feeling okay at a very slow pace--compared to my pace on flat ground--but I can't speed up at all. I just don't have that gear. Camille, a talented hill runner whether she is in shape or not, destroyed me this morning on a hill that I used to live on a few years ago. Sigh.
When I wasn't watching the game or running this morning, I was shopping. I was looking for a new formal dress and I found one, but I don't think it is formal enough for an upcoming black tie event that we have. It was a really nice day out, though, so it was great to be walking around outside for much of the afternoon.

Hehehe...i am your Boston spin while watching the Hoyas counterpart! All my Hoya friends are out of town so I spent the last two games spinning as opposed to the previous three I spent drinking to excess. This was much healthier!
Go blue and gray!!!
