Spring is in the air if not in my step
I am becoming a very bad snooze bar-hitter. I always have been someone who sets my alarm early just so I can snooze, but man, I've been staying in bed until the very last second and then having to rush around pre-run or work out. I barely had time to eat anything today and I always need to have a little something before I head out.
It was a little chilly when I first stepped outside but after about 5 minutes I was really glad that I only had on shorts and a t-shirt. My leg thing (shin/side) did not bother me until I was about 25 minutes into the run, which I'm hoping is progress. It still isn't super-painful; I'm just hyper-aware that it may hurt with some strides and I think chopping my stride down because of that. It still wasn't sore when I got back so it's hard to even know exactly where to foam roll. This one is a mystery...
I lifted at lunch but again did not do too much lower body. It can't hurt to skip it until I am not so worried about my leg. It was very warm out when I came back to my office and I was very glad I chose to wear a skirt today (not so glad on the way to work this morning since I was a little chilly). And tonight I met a friend for dinner and it was great to sit outside and enjoy the springish weather. Although there was some sort of scuffle right outside where we were sitting and three cop cars pulled up just as we were finishing up. That was strange, but we had fun anyway!
