Never doubt the Hoyas

I'm titling my blog entry after a text message I just got after the Georgetown-Vanderbilt game...it was a real nail-biter and thankfully the Hoyas squeaked by after an unreal basket by Jeff Green. Phew! I am excited for the next round already.

It was very humid and kind of gross during my run this morning (and the rest of the day, too). I was sweating after about half a mile and feeling that general yucky feeling the whole time. I took my t-shirt off toward the end and that helped, although I was a bit self-conscious because I haven't done the sports bra thing in public in awhile. It was worth it, though. I did my usual Friday route and my legs felt decent, not great. My kneecap has been bothering me a bit but I'm pretty sure it is just an adjustment-to-more-running thing. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Tomorrow is the second annual National Marathon. Although it comes very close to my apartment at around the 20 mile mark, I am meeting Emily to run and I will probably not make it back in time to see the people I know who are running. Especially since it is going to be extremely challenging for me to get around all the street closures. But I'm always up for a frustrating drive as long as I can get my run in!

Happy weekend to all!
