First Monday run in a long time

I've been sticking to a pretty regular running/cross-training schedule for a couple of months now, so it's been awhile since I ran on a Monday (maybe others wouldn't notice these things, but I definitely do). But since this is the fourth day in a row running (haven't done that lately, either), I kept it short. I felt good when I started out--maybe too good, because I think I was pushing the pace and it caught up to me a couple of miles later. I survived, though, and didn't have to deal with too many hills when running on tired legs. I saw a lot of runners out this morning. It was chilly but not too bad. It is supposed to be in the 70s by the weekend...which sucks for the National Marathoners. (Side note: I cannot BELIEVE it was nearly a year ago that I ran the National Marathon and Boston. It is a little depressing--how much time/training I have missed--but I will try to use it for motivation.)

I biked very briefly when I got home, because I hadn't run very far and I miraculously had a little extra time. Then it was off to work, where my day was pretty busy. My boss and I went to this lunchtime workshop on the good and bad ways that students and profs can use technology like social networking, blogs, photo sharing sites like Flickr...grouped together, these are all known as Web 2.0, but I am only beginning to think like a techno-geek. In any case, it was interesting and a good middle-of-the-day activity since I was super-tired today for no good reason that I can think of.

I had a snack about an hour before I lifted, but I got very low blood sugar on the bike and nothing, even my emergency gym Powerbar, seemed to help. Ugh, I hate that feeling. I was all set to cook hamburgers tonight but I ended up picking up Thai food on the way home because I knew I couldn't wait much longer to eat.

My computer has been acting up a bit and I am concerned that it is the hard drive, so I am going to back up as much of my important data as I can tonight...a daunting task so I hope I can at least get my email and purchased music before a trip to the Apple Store.
