At least the sun was out
Today definitely felt more wintry than springlike, especially when the wind was blowing, which for Camille and me was the whole way out on our run. Once we turned around and dropped down to the Canal, it was sunny and less windy, so it was actually perfect temps for me. My legs were a little tired from yesterday's long run, but not too bad, I was glad to note. As usual, we chatted the whole time and enjoyed ourselves. We got passed by a couple of (small) groups of men--I guess it's that time of year. Camille hasn't run a marathon since she joined me in Chicago in 2003 (I think that was the year, maybe 2004) and I'm wondering when she is going to get the itch again. I actually met Camille at Wed. night track in 2000, but she does not do the Saturday long runs with the club because she is an observant Seventh Day Adventist and Sat. is her church day.
I came home after the run to wake Matt up so we could have breakfast together. After that, I sat on the couch supposedly to read, but I promptly fell asleep for a couple of hours. I woke up to eat lunch and go food shopping and then I biked while watching NCAA basketball on TV. Now I am about to go make dinner and enjoy the rest of a relaxing Sunday!
