Sunday-like Monday

As usual, I enjoyed being able to sleep in on a Monday and take my time getting to the gym instead of rushing around like usual. We had a weird snow squall last night that put less than an inch of snow on the ground, but caused the usual traffic problems so it was slow goings getting over to Georgetown (and finding a parking spot, since the hospital is never closed). The gym was packed, too, but I got one of my preferred ellipticals. Even though I had eaten before I left my house, I just didn't feel like I had a lot of energy today. I made it through the workout and then did my usual afternoon lifting routine (only in the morning). I brought a Powerbar with me and that definitely helped since I am not used to doing all of that gym stuff in one "sitting".

The rest of my day was pretty quiet--I did some errands on the way home and then spent most of the afternoon reading and napping (I can't help myself--if I am on the couch, I fall asleep, even if I'm not particularly tired!). I rode the trainer for about a half-hour while I was waiting to find out what Matt wanted to do for dinner (he was at work). We ended up meeting at a new bar/sandwich place for a quick bite and it was actually pretty good. Matt is scheduled to go to Miami for the next couple of days and I have a busy week myself, so it was nice to start it off that way.
