I still hate wind
Matt had to get up early again for a flight--he's off to Las Vegas with a friend this weekend--and I heard the wind howling outside when his alarm went off. It was not easy to get out of bed (when my own alarm went off) knowing that I would have to battle the wind during my run! The temperature wasn't that cold but I bundled up more than normal because I know I hate the wind. It died down a bit toward the end of my run but it was almost hard to run in a straight(ish) line for awhile! I did my usual Friday route (16th Street Heights and Rock Creek Park) which was much easier now that all the snow and ice has finally melted.
Work has been busy today and I am rushing around trying to get out of here early so that I can take care of a few things (like my very dirty apartment) before I need to catch my flight to New York. I'm looking forward to a weekend of hanging out with my parents and sister. It is rare that we are not shuttling back and forth between families in New York, so I can't wait!
Happy weekend to all!
