Slow "holiday" day
Many people in DC had the day off today because the federal and local governments were closed for Veterans' Day and it's typical for nonprofits to follow the federal schedule. But we have the Friday after Thanksgiving off instead and I would much rather have that! Plus, it was quiet today so I was able to finish some things I had been working on all week and--even more exciting--weekday parking rules were not in effect, so I could drive to work without guilt!
I was bad again about pressing the snooze bar this morning. When I finally realized that I was behind my usual schedule, I bolted out of bed and, because I was rushing, didn't end up getting to the gym too much later than I intended. I decided to take a second ellipticalling day in a row because I'm still a little worried after that bad run I had on Wednesday. I am feeling fine walking around and I'm taking that as a good sign, but I am planning to run with a friend tomorrow morning and I want to make the most of that. She is one of my favorite running partners but we haven't run together in ages since she's had two kids in the last 2.5 years and I've been away. She is now coming back from her second pregnancy so we are hoping that our paces will be similar.
In any case, ellipticalling was fine and I don't have anything much else to report. (I won't complain about how hot it was today.) Happy weekend!
