Quiet Friday
It feels like way more than a year ago that I ran the (ING) New York City Marathon. Possibly because the weather forecast is so much more to my liking this year--cold--than last year, when it was hot and humid. In any case, I kind of wish I was going to be in NYC this weekend, but my sister is planning to represent for me at 96th and First Ave. If I remember correctly, I was still feeling pretty good at that point last year!
But no running for me today. I just ellipticalled, but I felt pretty good, as in, my hamstring was not tight. It's certainly sore where Barb abused it yesterday, though! I don't mind that and I enjoyed my easy Friday with no lifting or double workout, especially since my arms are pretty sore too.
Matt is out at a hockey game tonight so I am just relaxing and enjoying my US Weekly that came in the mail today. I'm meeting T. very early in the morning, so I'm doubly nervous: getting up at work time on a weekend and running with someone for the first time since I started running again. But he is a good person to test it with since he'll understand if I need to stop or slow down. Wish me luck and Happy ING NYCM Weekend!
