Great day to be inside
Besides working out, I had a very relaxing, lazy day today. It was windy and rainy all day and perfect reading and napping weather. I went to the gym in the morning and worked hard on the elliptical and also did some abs and squats but was too hungry and sweaty to lift (I had planned to). I'm not feeling any ill effects of yesterday's run--my longest by about 7 minutes--just the usual hamstring soreness. I think that's as good as it's gonna get right now.
After the gym I decided to go grocery shopping since I was already out and I had an energy bar to tide me over. I thought that Whole Foods would be less crowded than it usually is when I go in the late afternoon, but I was very wrong. There was a line to get into the parking lot and tons of people inside. You'd think they were giving food away, when in reality, aside from the apple slices and cheese, it's quite the opposite!
I was pooped when I got home and I parked myseld on the couch to read the paper and finish my overachievers book. I fell asleep for about an hour somewhere in there and it was a very peaceful nap. We got home kind of late last night from that housewarming party, so maybe I was more tired than I thought.
We had an early dinner and I was feeling very awake from my nap so I just rode my trainer for a little while. It worked and here I am, back on the couch, reading until our favorite HBO show (The Wire) comes on. Here's to another week ahead...

Well, it's been ages since I've written. But I just wanted to let you know that I rode with a young lad named Alan Enos yesterday, and he said he went to Cornell, so I asked him if he knew you and he said he was at your wedding! I said that I was too! :) What's their deal? I'm in the market for some new friends. Love, Vic
