Day spent in the car
We tried to leave New York pretty early this morning, but it either wasn't early enough or everyone else had the same idea. Most of our trip was spent sitting in traffic and I felt like it took forever. I'm sure it felt even longer for Matt as he was the one doing the driving! As I usually do, I slept on and off for a lot of the trip. Matt listened to football on the radio most of the time so at least he was occupied.
I went running before we left and am glad I did because of all the time spent sitting, although the back of my knee is sore now and I think that the car ride contributed. I ran on the Leatherstocking Trail again this morning but in the reverse direction. I was in a rush and didn't have time to eat anything before heading out the door and I felt kind of weak throughout the run. Legwise things were okay but my kneecap was a little achy and my legs were sore from doing my lower body lifting yesterday.
I don't know how I could be tired after sitting and sleeping all day, but I am! Hopefully the extra rest will catch up with me and contribute to a not-so-tiring work week!
