Sunday swim
I got a lot of sleep this weekend, which is probably a good thing! I wasn't in a huge hurry to get to the gym this morning because I had plans to meet a friend at her house in Virginia for lunch, so it was going to be easier to go directly from Georgetown. I eventually made it there and swam. I didn't feel particularly good today and the time really dragged. I swam for close to an hour and then pool ran for a little while. All in all it was a decent workout, but nothing too great.
I met my friend (who I actually met back when I first moved here when I joined my track club) at her house and met her new baby and marveled at how big her other one is getting. We went to lunch at a shopping center nearby and it was really fun to catch up. Since she is just getting back to running after having her baby, we hope that we can help each other get back into shape. (I'm not nearly ready to run with anyone, but maybe in a few weeks.)
After lunch I spent a couple of hours shopping, mostly looking for a dress for a black-tie event I have for work in a couple of weeks. I did find one--not an amazing find, but it will do.
I had hoped to either lift or ride my trainer when I got home this evening but we decided to eat an early dinner and I'm feeling less and less inclined to do so as I sit on the couch! Oh, well, that's what tomorrow is for!
