Fast Friday
Now that it is almost over, I can say that today went by really quickly. I thought it would be raining when I woke up, but it wasn't, so I was able to get to the gym without getting wet like I did everytime I went outside again throughout the rest of the day! Today was an elliptical day. I felt like my hamstring had loosened up somewhat and ellipticalling didn't bother it at all. I did some "hill" intervals for about half the workout and then read for the rest of the time. This week's book is particularly silly, but it's a good mindless read, I guess. I wish we could download audio books from our library here in D.C., like other people who live in Boston can. Although I just read that the D.C. library system is getting an update starting next year, so it's not hopeless!
I had lots of stuff going on at work so my day flew by, which is always particularly good on a Friday, as I'm sure I've said before. After work I went to meet Matt up near his office in Bethesda, partially because there is an Apple store there too. I begrudgingly purchased an iPod Nano to replace my big (30G, I think it was) photo iPod that just died. Everyone who has an iPod agrees: they are great and you get hooked, but they break a lot. Actually, I've had the best luck with my oldest one. It's three years old and doing great (Matt uses it now.)
We are both beat so I am going to set up my iPod to charge and then head to bed. Happy XC conference/Marine Corps Marathon weekend!
