The good and the bad
I woke up feeling pretty good today, knee-wise, so I decided to try a little running. I haven't "tested" it out in more than a week. It was very nice out and un-humid this morning, too. I couldn't resist. I walked fast for about 5 minutes and then alternating some running (well, jogging really) and walking. I did that for almost a half hour and my knee felt good! Then I came back and rode my trainer and I started to feel that old familiar pain again. It wasn't hurting me while I was pedaling, exactly, it was more like when I got off the bike to adjust something, to get more water, etc. I iced it when I was done but it's been feeling the same all day. Not terrible, so maybe it's just soreness from the running and biking combination...but I'm not sure. I guess I'll have to see if it is better tomorrow.
My sunburn from Monday has turned into a peeling mess. When I sweat, it bubbles up and makes little blisters--it is disgusting. I think once it peels it will be better, but look worse! I will never be stupid enough to sit on the beach without sunscreen again. Today we sat by the pool, and I stayed mostly in the shade and put on some SPF 30. So far, so good. Later in the day I went to do a couple of errands and stopped by my favorite Westchester store, and then came home to do a tiny bit of lifting and get ready to go to dinner and the movies with Matt and his sis. I'm not sure what we're going to see, but we always have a good time together!
