Friday, again?
Wow, this week has really flown by. I can't believe that it has been 7 days since we were driving in the Midwest. I'm sad to think that we only have one more week before work starts, that's for sure.
I swam again this morning. It was less boring than yesterday but not as effortless as Wednesday. I tried to keep pace with a top local runner-turned-triathlete who came in toward the end of my swim and it wasn't even close. I kept meaning to take a lesson or two while I had access at MIT, but I never did! I'm sure my swim technique would be a lot smoother if someone actually watched me swim and gave me a few pointers. Someday I'll take a lesson!
All three members of the Wexler household (Matt's sister is staying with us this week because she is basically moved out of her apartment here) worked hard today. Matt and Laura went to Laura's place and packed up the remaining items and took apart her bed, which she is donating to us. I stayed at our apartment and cleaned the floors and the bathrooms and unpacked some of our second bedroom/office stuff to make room for the bed. I was sweating up a storm even in the air-conditioned apartment; outside it was very hot and humid so I was very glad to have this refuge. I also made a couple of trips back to Laura's apartment to deliver tools and then to attempt to fit the disassembled bed in the car (it didn't work.) Their dad is coming tomorrow from New York with a van, so that should help us out.
We are staying in tonight and maybe watching a movie. This weekend will be pretty demanding since we will be very involved in Laura's move-out effort. Didn't we just do this?? Happy weekend!
