Rained out on the Cape
About a year ago, Matt and I decided with another couple to go to Cape Cod at the end of June, and we picked this weekend. Who knew it would be raining all day (and maybe tomorrow)? But you can't predict the weather that far in advance. We are trying to make the best of it, though...and at least getting a lot of reading and sudoku done!
I wanted to go to the gym this morning to swim and lift as it has been too long since I've lifted, but we wanted to get on the road on the early side and the gym opens late on weekends. So I just rode my trainer. We actually got a later start than we had wanted because we had trouble putting the bike rack and my bike on the car--it's been awhile. We finally figured it out, then of course hit traffic on the road, not to mention bad weather conditions...so we didn't get here until almost 2. But we had a fun lunch in town, then hung out for a bit and I even got to watch USATFs on TV in the room. Tonight we all went to dinner at a fabulous but low-key place. I would love to actually ride my bike outside tomorrow (as well as do other Cape Cod-y things) so hopefully the weather will improve somewhat! Cross your fingers for us.
