Taking advantage of road closures
Today was the Walk for Hunger here in Boston, a 20-mile walk to raise money for a charity group that feeds the homeless. A friend of mine from school was doing it so I tried to time my run so that I would see her. But there were so many people walking loops around the Charles River that I never did come across her. I did take advantage of the fact that much of Memorial Drive was closed to traffic for the walk and it was great to avoid the sidewalk for a few miles as my knees have both been a little bit achy. The weather was cooler today than yesterday but it was a bright, sunny day so it made for an enjoyable run. My allergies were bothering me a bit but I have no qualms about blowing my nose on my shirt on a run!
The rest of my day was spent doing laundry and doing work. The laundry literally took hours because it seemed that all of the dryers in the building were broken. So frustrating...I was somewhat productive on one of my projects today but I still will have a lot to do this week and next weekend. I am so ready for school to be done. I know I sound like a broken record...but it's really how I feel! T-minus 2 weeks...
