For once, a non-windy workout

My club is doing a hill workout tomorrow night and my IT band has been bothering me especially on downhills, so I decided to tag along with Alison this morning for her tempo-ish track workout. My knee wasn't bothering me on the run over to the track, which was good...although it wasn't happy with on the way home later. Alison was doing 2,400m repeats and hadn't officially decided whether she was going to do 3 or 4. (I knew she would do 4 though.) I planned to do 3 as my legs were still a little tired from Saturday's long run and I thought that distance sounded like more than enough. I had a hard time staying focused during the ~10 minutes of running. The pace (just barely under 6:40 for the first and third one and about 4 secs slower on the second) didn't bother me too much, but I never could quite get into a rhythm. I was quite ready to be done after the third one but I decided to join Alison for the middle mile of her final 2,400. That one was a bit faster of a pace but I blame it on the fact that the distance was shorter. My legs (groin and hips too) were really dead when we started jogging home. My knee wasn't too bad until we parted ways after stopping to chat for a few minutes as we are wont to do. I stepped funny as I ran (okay, jogged) off and my knee has been bothering me ever since :(

I biked (and lifted) in the late afternoon after my 5 hours straight of class (one more Monday left, yay!) but I made sure the biking didn't bother my knee. The gym was super-crowded today and I'm not sure why since it was a pretty nice day out! Hmm. Well, it's time once again to get down to business--preparing for a phone interview tomorrow and of course doing some school work!
