Everybody in the pool
Yup, I sucked it up and swam today. Actually I pulled the whole time (close to an hour; I can't stand much more than that) so as not to stress my knee at all. It was boring, but I tried to mix it up by alternating "fast"/slow laps and time passed more quickly than I had worried about. My arms were pretty sore afterwards and I definitely got my heart rate up, so I guess I did okay. I was hungry enough to eat a horse immediately after I got out of the pool, which always seems to happen after swimming. Not a bad thing since I enjoy eating! :)
My knee is definitely better than it was yesterday--not quite as stiff and sore. I should probably cross train tomorrow, but I haven't fully commited to the idea since it is very traumatic for me to not run on a "long run" day. We'll see.
After I finished swimming today, I headed over to school to drop off my final exam. It was a nice feeling! Now I just have a small project to finish up and I hope to do that this weekend. I came home after that and did some cleaning that I've been putting off for way too long since I've been busy. Then I went downtown to get a manicure and pedicure and to meet Matt to go over to an end-of-year party my school was sponsoring down by Fanueil Hall. It was fun to see everyone a lot less stressed than they've been in the past few weeks! Matt and I walked around near Quincy Market on our way back to the T and felt like real tourists--it was kind of fun! Tonight we're both beat so we're staying in to probably catch up on our HBO shows. Happy weekend to all!
