Comparatively dry

I woke up a few times during the night to the now-familiar sound of the pouring rain, but when I left in the morning, the rain was actually tapering off. And although it rained all day and night yesterday, the puddles didn't seem as deep as they were when I ran yesterday morning. Weird. Anyway, Alison and I met and ran through Union Square and along Route 28 and got on the path by the river at the Museum of Science. We came back through Inman Square and as we always do when we run that way, took a wrong turn and went a bit out of our way. Since I had to go to class, we parted ways closer to my place than in the true middle.

We were apparently running during rush hour today as we had to stop for many lights. I should have taken the opportunity to stretch more, because I got a cramp in my hamstring at the end of the run. All in all I felt pretty tired on the run today. I'm not sure why, exactly, but I kind of felt that way throughout the day later, so maybe my lack of sleep on Friday night is just catching up with me. When I was biking this afternoon, even US Weekly wasn't making the time pass any quicker, and I practically fell asleep sitting on a bench in between sets when I was lifting.

I turned in one assignment this morning and am hoping to knock off a pretty minor one tonight. Then tomorrow I pick up a take-home final that's due at the end of the week. That one's going to be tough...but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yippee!
