What the heck?

Matt had to be somewhere at 6:45am today, so I took pity on him and his still-sore ankle and drove him to the T stop at Kendall Square. I figured it would give me an early start on the day since I stayed up until about 1 working last night and still had much to do today. I was SO tired though. I parked at MIT since I was near there and decided to do a nice, flat loop of the River. I felt fine starting out, and then about halfway through the run, my groin seized up and was totally restricting my stride. I tried stretching but nothing really helped. I was totally suffering. Alison suggested that my soreness could have been due to running in circles around the track last night when I complained about this to her later today on email. Maybe. Or maybe it is just me getting so worked up over tapering and having the marathon looming in front of me that my body is giving me weird signals!! I don't know what to think. In any case, I did some stretching and light lifting after that and decided not to do any more working out today. It feels better now, we'll see how I feel in the morning...

That's the update from me. I am waiting for my parents to pick me up so that we can go to my grandparents' house for the first Passover seder. I am looking forward to carbo-loading on matzah. Happy Passover to anyone who that might apply to!

I hope your groin feels better tomorrow :-) All sorts of weird things happen to my body when I taper - I swear I get phantom pains and I have had a fever for 2 days that I cannot shake . . . so weird!

Are you excited for the marathon? Nervous? Do you have specific goal?

It's been so much fun to follow your training!
