Enjoying some time outside

It was really nice out today, even by my standards. A little windy, maybe, but a bright and beautiful spring day nonetheless. I would pretend and say that the weather made it easier to get out the door early this morning, but it didn't. I was glad to get my run done early, but I was feeling pretty tired, especially toward the end. My quads are pretty much okay now.

Matt dropped me off at my class this morning and then went to pick up his new boss from the airport. He was here from DC for the day and the two of them were looking at some properties around the area. When I was done with class, I walked to Back Bay and did a little shopping while Newbury and Boylston Streets were still relatively quiet. I had a Nike gift card so I got shorts that have a little "Boston 26.2" seal (I saw a lot of people wearing them on Monday, actually.) I intended to get new Superfeet orthotic things but apparently Marathon Sports does not carry them. I could have sworn I've gotten them there before, but maybe not. I also did a little poking around in the Gap. I tried to keep away from the pricier stores!

I walked back to the Red Line through the Public Garden and Beacon Hill. It was a great day for it. Everything seems to be in bloom. I was kind of tired when I got back home finally, but I had to get on a conference call. Then I had another interview-type call after that. Predictably, it was not long before I had fallen asleep on the couch! I sure will miss these napping opportunities when I'm back in the working world.

I'm going to figure out dinner for us. Happy weekend to all!
