April (snow) showers
I'm sure I'll miss the occasional snowy day in April once I head down south, but today it was kind of annoying. Pretty, but annoying. I didn't look out the window before leaving to meet Alison so I didn't realize it was precipitating at all. It was near 40 degrees so I was wearing shorts. I didn't "freeze to death" or anything (as one man we passed asked me if I was) but my legs did get a bit stiff. It was very wet snow, too, and we both complained about being soaked. My wet gloves made my hands especially cold. But aside from those complaints, I felt okay today, especially considering that I was feeling pretty tired and sore after last night's workout. Maybe the cold air numbed my legs or something. Hey, whatever works! Anyway, our route was pretty much on main roads in Cambridge and Somerville today. Not too scenic but appropriate for a bad weather day.
I had a conference call for about an hour in the morning and then I got some reading done on the bike before a little lifting. Then I had to give a presentation in my masters seminar about my experience at my summer job. I hate talking in front of a group and the school was testing the fire alarm equipment while I was up there! I think it went okay though and I was glad to be done with it.
I am starving right now so I'm going to go figure out what to do for dinner!
