Shuffling along
I knew I wouldn't feel so great running this morning after the long track workout we had last night, so it took me a while to get out the door. Once I did start running, I actually didn't feel that bad. I kept reminding myself to take it really easy, though. I did a roundabout loop that I used to do by myself a lot on the day after the workout but cut it slightly short since my "not so bad" feeling turned to "very, very bad" after only a half hour of running. It just hit me like a ton of bricks and I knew it would be best to take the most direct route back home. I did get somewhat of a second wind, but when I was sitting on the floor doing my situps after the run, I got very, very tired. I was worried that I was getting sick or something but I felt better after showering and eating so I'm hoping it was just the cumulative mileage.
Today was a day full of lots of errands, so I again was not too productive with the work I promised myself I'd do over Spring Break. Big shocker there--and we are going to DC for the weekend tomorrow afternoon so I guess I'm going to have my week cut out for me after that. I did do some biking and lifting (priorities) in the middle of the day. Now I'm getting ready for our little trip, which is actually the beginning of a bigger trip for Matt--his Spring Break is next week and he and his dad are meeting in Florida to go to some spring training baseball games. Even if I could go, I'm not sure I could take the heat!

Did you see the marathon bib numbers were posted the other day? It looks like we're in the second wave. I thought we'd be in the first based on past results. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to run, but I'm a little disappointed. I just don't want to wait longer. It also seems weird because of the spectators. We will appear even farther behind.
