Shameless shuffle

I was really nervous about my run this morning because I wasn't sure how I'd feel, being sore from the hills yesterday on top of my ongoing hip/hamstring/groin (which will now be abbreviated as HHG) pain. Alison and I had agreed to meet with the caveat that either one of us might be turning around and going home soon after. We sure were a sight to see, shuffling along toward each other. Alison was convinced I was moving faster than she was, but I don't know about that. My HHG wasn't terrible and going slow seemed to help. We ran together for a short while, maybe 20 minutes or so, and then parted ways in Davis Sq. at the bike path. I decided to go a little further since I wasn't feeling pain, just tiredness and soreness (don't get me wrong, there was a lot of that!) My run was still shorter than my usual Monday run, which is okay, I'm sure, but another reason why it throws me for a loop to do my long run on Sunday rather than Saturday.

I spent a few hours at school perusing our (rather small) career fair, having lunch with a friend and going to class. Then I went to bike and lift. Somehow it took a lot longer than usual, which is fine, but I was starving when I left even after a Balance bar. I deided to experiment and make a pad thai-ish dish with chicken and veggies and rice noodles tonight. I'm pretty impressed with how it turned out! Now it's s time for a couple of hours of work and catching up on emails. I can't believe Spring Break is only 2 weeks away! (Not that I'm doing anything special.) Time is flying...and I heard a rumor that it is going to be in the 70s this weekend. I'm not ready to leave my beloved cold temps behind!

Good thing you chose to put the body parts in that order, otherwise you might have some HGH (human growth hormone).

I really did walk home from Davis b/c I was hurting so badly. The scary thing is that the achiness might be better, but I think the soreness is now worse.

You were sprinting out there this morning :-)

FYI. Photos of the STU's 30K are posted to the CMS website and there is a good one of you with your name called out.
