It really must be almost spring...

I guess it's been cloudy out the past few Fridays when I've had to run early, because today was the first time I noticed how early it's been getting light out. (I thought I overslept for a minute!) I realized that makes sense because it isn't too long before the official start of spring and the changing of the clocks.

Today I had company on my run, which was very nice. I ran up to Wynne's place, then we did my usual short Friday loop and she ran back to her place from there. We were both surprised at how cold it was this morning. It wasn't terrible, it just felt like winter again. Not that I'm complaining. What I'll complain about is that I just felt kind of tired and creaky today. My hip was stiff and my left quad was all tight. Nothing terrible, but I've been feeling like that too often than I want to lately. When I got home, I tried to massage my quad using the foam roller. It felt a little better, but after I got up from sitting in class, I had the HHG uncomfortableness again. I don't know what set it off. Maybe I haven't been stretching/foam rolling as much as I should. And to top it all off, my achilles felt ever-so-slightly twingey when I was walking around the apartment. For some reason--I guess the pain--I dread the return of that injury more than any other, especially since it happened right around this time last year. In any case, I'm pre-emptively icing right now.

I followed up on a couple of potential job leads this afternoon and went to see my grandparents as usual this evening. Matt and I are both typing away at our computers now and might watch a movie if we can stay awake that long! Happy St. Paddy's Day/weekend to all!
