Hudson River hills

I woke up to the sound of pouring rain this morning, which made it even harder than usual to get out the door. I ate a little breakfast and watched to see if the rain was getting lighter, but it really wasn't. I borrowed a baseball cap from my dad and headed out. I decided to run toward the "Rivertowns" today--my town is on the fringe of being called one, but the real three that are right on the Hudson are Hastings, Dobbs Ferry and Irvington. I ran about 2 miles downhill and noticed that my legs felt very weak and wobbly, like low blood sugar. I stopped at a convenience store and bought a Luna bar (thankfully I remembered to put a couple of bucks in my pocket) and that helped almost instantaneously. I still didn't feel excellent, but definitely better after that. I ended up running a little longer than I intended, with A LOT of big hills. Good Boston training, but they made me tired!

I didn't do much except hang out at home today and then got a manicure and pedicure. I was feeling antsy after that so I went for a quick second run. It was uneventful but a little spooky because it was getting dark.

We're going to a movie now so I must end here!
