New variation on an old route

I didn't sleep all that well last night because when Matt came home from his usual Wed. night b-school event, I woke up with a start covered in sweat. Even the sheets were soaked--I have no idea what I was dreaming or why I was so hot, but it was very disconcerting. Once I changed out of my wet clothes I felt a lot better, but I was tossing and turning for a bit. I'm always worried about my wound and bruise on my hip, which wakes me from time to time. It definitely looks a little better, but it's still very uncomfortable. If it isn't better next week, I will go to Harvard's walk-in clinic and have someone take a look at it. I get very nervous about going to the doctor so I've been putting it off!

So I was sleepy when I headed out the door this morning at 6am, but I was glad to feel that the temperature and humidity had both dropped a lot and it really felt like fall again! I ran toward the river because it didn't seem too windy and out toward Watertown (but not quite TO Watertown) and looped back on a new, quiet road I found that divides one part of Mt. Auburn Cemetery from another. I was running a little late so I was definitely going faster on the last part. It was one of those nice, refreshing runs for a change.

I also ran a little bit on the treadmill in the afternoon just to get my legs moving after sitting all day. Then I briefly lifted. Oops, gotta run, a friend is over to work on a project!
