Just an easy day (for real)
After my fall yesterday, Matt suggested that I take a day off today and go to the gym instead. But sitting hurts more than standing so I didn't want to bike, and the thought of getting my wound wet in the pool didn't appeal to me either. I promised I would do a short, easy run, and it wasn't at all hard to stick to that plan. My neck is probably the most sore from falling awkwardly, but my hip, side and knee all hurt too. Nothing hurts acutely, I was just very tight and sore throughout the run. I was glad to get back. (And a note on the weather today: last night was cold. This morning was mild. I'm tired of all these changes!)
Since I didn't do a stitch of work yesterday, I had a lot to do today. I read and worked on stuff for the majority of the day, then did some grocery shopping and made hamburgers for dinner. I had my usual feelings of guilt about not working out a second time, but I didn't think even lifting would be smart for all my weird muscle soreness. I know I'm supposed to be taking it easy as I continue to recover...and I'm trying.
I'm not sure how it got to be almost 8:30, but I'm going to go read one more article before it's time for the HBO Sunday shows.
