A little less sore
I had an especially hard time getting out of bed this morning. From the moment I woke up, I felt more tired than I had yesterday! Strange--but it happens. Plus I had a whole day of classes ahead of me, and the thought made me sleepy. I did get out the door for a short run (about 40 minutes) and I felt less stiff and awkward than I did yesterday for sure. I ran across part of Harvard Yard, toward Fresh Pond and looped back via Brattle Street, where I always imagine all the distinguished Harvard and MIT professors live.
I made it back home with barely enough time to shower and make breakfast to go before I had to head off to class. I didn't feel so bad during my first class but then I nodded off on the (short) bus ride over to the PH campus and never fully woke up. It was especially challenging to be sleepy in a class with 4 people, but I tried my best to stay alert. In my third class, my eyes were closing no matter what I tried to do. I had contemplated biking for a little while at the gym on my way home from school, but being that tired I decided just to come home and relax. After all, this is the last Tuesday before my club's indoor track practices start, so I might as well enjoy the free time.
Mary and I met for dinner tonight to talk about NYCM and whatever else has been going on in our lives this week. It was a lot of fun. Now I am going to attempt to replace the battery in my iBook. Why I needed to purchase a new one after only having this one for a year and four months is a mystery, but according to the guy at the Apple Store, "it happens." Very reassuring!
