Bare bones blog

It's getting to that point in the semester where I feel like I'm rushing everything I need to do, including my daily blog entries. So I apologize for being less eloquent than usual (if I ever am eloquent, that is.) This morning Alison met me at my place so she could accompany me on my whole pre-workout run. Since we're both helping out local track teams, we compared notes--it was very enlightening. It was already in the 50s in the morning and quite humid. As you might imagine, I was not thrilled. But it wasn't too bad.

Fast forward through classes from 8am-3pm...I got in a VERY brief nap when I came home (about 30 minutes) and then left to go to track. Mary was doing a regular run tonight so we timed it such that she would run me up to the track. I don't really like the run up there so I was very glad to have her company. Track was sparsely attended for some reason but I had a good group to run with so I didn't care. Our workout was short (I think he is keeping things short until Jan.) but we were supposed to run pretty hard: 400, 600, 800, 600, 400, 200, 200. I tried really hard to get my legs moving and turning over quickly--not my strongpoint. It was over quickly but now I am really sore! My pace on my jog home was glacial. I am going to be feeling it for sure tomorrow!
