Running and lounging
So the low humidity forecast finally came through today! I managed to get out fairly early for my run so it felt more "refreshing" out than it has in a week or so. I took a planned easy day today and ran only about 50 minutes around Matt's mom's neighborhood. I brought my iPod shuffle with me and the time seemed to go by quickly, which was nice. My knee felt a little sore, probably from doing too many longish runs in a row, but no other major aches and pains. I managed to get on a little trail for part of the run, which was nice.
I spent the next few hours enjoying the sun and reading by the pool at Matt's mom's house. Matt was off playing tennis with a friend for a couple of hours, and when he came back we put some veggie (and regular) burgers on the grill. Then I did the elliptical and lifted for a little while while watching Wimbeldon highlights and some other mindless stuff on TV, and went back in the pool after that. We had some pizza at a place close to the train station and came back to Brooklyn tonight. We're having a bunch of people over to watch the fireworks from our balcony tomorrow night, so I need the day to get ready!
