An early start to a day of procrastination
I'm sitting here "working on a paper" but looking for distractions, so I figured updating my blog is a good enough one. I swear, I never used to be a procrastinator! Yuck.
I woke up early today to meet Mary at her pool (mine is much nicer; I prefer swimming in water free of hairballs, but hers is cheaper). She's had a tough week workwise and emotionally, so I knew she would be working hard. Since she's training for an Ironman, she wanted to swim 3,000 meters straight with no stopping, no drills, no breaks. I tried to emulate her but only made it about 20 minutes before I needed a sip of Gatorade. I also ended up pulling most of the way because my hip/groin/mystery soreness was hurting when I kicked. Still got a good workout in though and swam for a full hour.
That's all I'll do today because I'm working on this paper and then going to see my grandparents and then going to a Patty Griffin concert. I love Patty and this will be (sort of) my first time seeing her live (I saw her in Washington as part of a group) so I'm very excited! Matt doesn't go to "my kind" of concerts (nor would I go to a rap show with him) so I'm going with a friend from school.
I thought I would have time for a nap today but I didn't, so I'm just hoping not to get home too late tonight...Happy weekend to all.
