A (mostly) fun day
Even though it's not really late, Matt and I can't stop yawning! Neither one of us woke up super-early, so I don't know why we are so tired, but maybe it has to do with the long walk that we just took, from a sushi place that we like in Copley Square back to the car which was parked at Kendall Square (about an hour of walking, I'd say.) We decided to walk because it was a nice night and because I really wanted to find a place for an ice cream cone! It's weird, neither one of us know the Copley/Newbury Street area very well even though we've been here a while now, and we always feel like tourists when we're down there. It's kind of fun!
So that really didn't have anything to do with running or working out...but that's okay :) I did that this morning, just an easy run and I felt a little more like myself. However, it was very windy and I hate that. But I'll take a decent run over decent weather any day.
I decided not to do too much schoolwork today and get a pedicure instead. I was way overdue for one and it's been warm enough lately to wear flip-flops, so I treated myself. After that I was supposed to go to my grandparents' to say hi and drop off a book I want them to read, but just as I was leaving the nail place my grandfather called to say that my grandmother had cut her leg as they were leaving a friend's place and needed stiches. She has very thin skin and is strong as anything in every other way, but this kind of stuff happens to her every so often. I spoke to her tonight and she sounded okay, but the painkillers probably hadn't worn off yet!
So then I met Matt downtown for dinner and that brings me back to where I started! I'm going to go check the latest Penn Relays results. Cornell has a legitimate shot at the 4x800 championship tomorrow now that Tennessee is without Nicole Cook. That would be so awesome! I can't wait to see what happens.
