Post-long run soreness
I woke up several times during the night noticing that my knee and calf were still sore (especially in the curled up position I was sleeping in) but when I actually got up for real, I didn't feel so bad. I just ran easy for about an hour--my knee was at first a little stiff and then I had just my usual IT tightness, so I was pretty happy with that. This afternoon, I did the elliptical for a little while to warm up before lifting, and strangely my kneecap, which hasn't bothered me recently, hurt at first. I just can't win.
I watched the NCAA XC broadcast today, but I really should have taped it because there were so many commercials! I guess it's the only way they can drag out the whole thing to an hour. It seemed liked the name mispronounciations were kept to a minumum this year ("Caroline BIRNBAUM" stuck in my mind) but I wish they had more post-race interviews.
It's almost time for The Bachelorette! I was planning on watching anyway (I like Jen and she is a friend of a friend), but now that Josh Cox is on, I have even more incentive. Ah, the joy of mind-numbing television.
